Story Time

Join Shirley Stolte for Story Time. Shirley will read stories written by renowned children's author, Thornton W. Burgess, highlighting the many animal characters he made famous.

Shirley Stolte is a former trustee of the Thornton Burgess Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen and a retired elementary school teacher who most recently taught first grade in New Jersey.   Shortly after moving to West Barnstable in 2003, Shirley’s passion for children’s literature led her to volunteer at the Green Briar Nature Center library as well as reading to first graders at Barnstable-West-Elementary School and mentoring children at Hyannis West.
