Welcome To Our New Website
We are pleased to announce that our new Web site is now up – with more to come.
As you may remember, a few months ago our original host site suffered a severe hack that affected their ability to continue hosting our site. The Museum staff immediately went into action to find a developer that could build a new Web site with up-to-date server protection technology.
We were fortunate to find Chris O’Brien and Rodrigo Passos from Dative right here on Cape Cod. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to the Cape Cod Foundation for their help in supporting this effort. Developing a Web site is an expensive proposition, especially one that must do all the various online transactions we have.
After explaining our needs to Dative, that included being up and running within six weeks for the summer season, we began the process of completely redesigning and updating not only our site but blending in the Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen site and all the programs we will hold there.
We have just finished and launched Phase One of a two phase approach that is designed to enhance customer experience and improve overall operational efficiency that includes better functionality and new capabilities for posting new information, registration, and reservations.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have the time normally needed to put a site through its paces and find any of the usual problems associated with design, coding, and content, so we ask your indulgence during this period. We are actively working on checking and remedying any coding, text, linking, visuals, etc., glitches.
We’re excited about where we’re going and hopefully, when completed, you’ll find the site more user friendly and technologically robust!
